Autumn brings change. It is a season for reflection. It is a season of purposeful activity. The harvest is gathered in and we prepare for winter.
I love to pull the changes of the season into what is happening in our lives.
As the winds of autumn blow around your home and community, what is blowing and moving in your business and in your creative life?
Opportunities come through like the season. You blink, turn away or get distracted and the opportunity is gone.
Don’t miss opportunities that are in your life right now. It might be the opportunity to take a day retreat to think and refocus on your goals and priorities- take the time.
It might be an opportunity to learn about social media, online blogs and how they can help your business stay strong- learn the lesson.
Don’t forget the good things – they are too easily missed as we fly through each season.
I am setting aside time to make a few trips to my favorite autumn day spot this season as well as search out seasonal fruit for fresh fall pies and breads.
I continue to learn more about social media- Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and You Tube- which ones do I want to invest my time and resources in? Our time is precious and we want to use it as well as we can. Thus, I create a social media budget to help me effectively use the time I have.
Here are three questions for reflection this fall:
- How do I need to change my social media habits to talk with people who can benefit from my help? Is there a social medium that I need to eliminate or add?
- What is the single activity that would help me reach a goal by the end of the year?
- What creative autumn activities would help spur personal growth and stimulate ideas and growth in my personal and business growth?
It takes time to think, discover, assess and commit to doing the right things at the right time.
Autumn is a good season to reflect and take the time for this practice.
