When I hear certain themes occur over and over, I began to pay attention.
Lately, I have been noticing that the most effective people focus intently on their pursuits- sometimes at the detriment of other “important” things in life.
This was put into words for me during…..bible study. Yep, the teacher was discussing our ineffectiveness in doing too many things, not saying “no” enough and trying to please too many people. She summed it up with something that her mentor taught her- “to be effective, you must be selective.”
I like that.
Next, I was listening to Nick Usborne, someone who I consider to be not only an expert, but a master at copywriting, online writing and online business ideas. In a recent teleseminar, he spoke on the importance of focusing your skills in ONE area.
As I have continued to hear this them replay in my life, I have decided to put it into practice.
I am looking at my business and personal life. What can be tossed- what needs to be thrown out so I can focus on what is essential?
After all, life is short and time is flying by. I want what I do to be highly effective and a benefit to others.
How about you?
